The Lichen (or Reindeer Moss)

This moss grows in the  North European forests and is exclusively hand-picked by local producers in an ancestral sustainable method, respectful of the environment.

It is a natural lichen that can be used only indoors, and must be guaranteed an environment with a minimum relative humidity of about 30% but it does not need any maintenance.

Its unique shape and acoustic properties offer endless possibilities in design. This extremely soft & flexible moss, blends perfectly with materials such as ceramic, wood, PVC, plexiglass, glass or expanded polystyrene. 100% Biodegradable product : it’s color – which is determined during the cultivation stage – does not contain any harmful toxic or noxious substances and does not discolor with time.

Now, preserved mosses are increasingly seen as the perfect answer to this problem (sometimes considered better than even traditional industrial solutions).

We asked CARE CEDIA, from the University of Liège (Belgium), to test the performance of our products when it comes to sound absorption.

The laboratory provided us with detailed reports showing the undeniable sound-reducing qualities of the natural moss.

The tests were conducted in accordance to the ISO 11654:1997 standard (laboratory-based sound absorption coefficient measurements using 10m. for each moss).

The Provence Moss: Wild Elegance

This padded moss is found in french forests, on acidic soil under tall softwood trees.

Harvested manually and selectively by professionals, it is put through a preservation process, using natural and non-toxic products just like the ones used in the food industry. By choosing the best parts of the moss carpets, we obtain a deep green moss with bright green reflections on its extremities, giving an elegant and design-friendly appearance supplementing it’s texture.

The Provence moss is mostly used in green wall conceptions: thanks to its soothing and natural look it is perfect for calm rooms, like offices, workspaces, waiting rooms…

The Flat Moss: Discreet Nature

Forming large surface of moss covering the floors and rocks of French forests, the flat moss is harvested in large plates which are perfect for green wall conceptions:

It is generally used to serve as a background to a “Forest” green wall or to a moss frame, thanks to it’s dark green coloration and discreet texture.

But the flat moss is not limited to this: its benefits allow us to use it on many custom projects, from decoration to ephemeral installations, or even architectural design.
